I bet you didn’t know my hair was this long. I’ve had it short since 2001, the longest it ever gets is about this length. When I dyed it recently, I couldn’t get all of the black out, but due to some stroke of luck I got enough out that it dyes burgundy when I hit it with the fuchsia dye I use (SpecialFX Virgin Rose).

Makeup of the day – Festive Red Lip

So, I swear I’m feeling like wearing red lips for all of December!  Part of this is that I have my fancy Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm and a sample of Fresh Sugar Lip Scrub, so my lips almost look normal and healthy.  Enough to fake it, anyway… Today I really went for that red lip and retro minimal makeup.

I can’t resist a good red lipstick. These are basically the same shade. For shiny and rich the Moisture Renew in Red Alert is an obvious winner. For long wear… Well… Here’s the Provocalips lip paint in Kiss Me You Fool:


I’m gonna let that speak for itself. That’s after work, dinner, no reapplications and a little bit of lip balm.
