Makeup of the Day

Five minute makeup!

Eyes: MAC eyeshadows in Nylon, Ricepaper and Aquadisiac, Wet n’ Wild MegaLiner liquid eyeliner in Black, Urban Decay Perversion mascara

Face: Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Powder Foundation in Light 44, NARS cream concealer in Chantilly

Lips: Rimmel Provocalips lip paint in Dare to Pink, Cailyn lipgloss in Love Affair (I think – rubbed the name label off)

Guys, serious alert here on the face stuff! If you have desperately pale porcelain skin like mine, these are fantastic. The powder foundation isn’t heavy and cakey like some powder foundations, it actually looks really natural… And te concealer is hands down the best concealer I’ve ever used.

    • Thank you! I actually find that this blue (MAC’s “Aquadisiac”) is very wearable – it’s a bit sheer and shimmery so it’s easy to build up coverage and not have it be totally overboard. šŸ™‚

    • It’s all about blend-blend-blend – and placement. I keep the REALLY bold eyeshadows as use for liners, too, if they’re just too much to use as eyeshadows. I am wearing MAC My Dark Magic today as liner with a damp brush because it is too much for me to try to pull off as a shadow (almost black). Don’t be afraid to play around at home when you aren’t going anywhere – it washes off!

    • Five minutes for real! Blended in the concealer, put on the powder with the sponge from the compact, not even a brush… then eyeshadow + liner and out the door.

  1. I will wear black eyeshadow as regular eyeshadow at night, especially for going out, but during the day anymore it has to be sooooooooo blended into a smoky eye carefully…or it ages me like whoa. You will see when you’re my age, LOL! Sometimes I forget our age difference! I did just get a black NYX eyeshadow I can’t wait to try…maybe I’ll wear it to goth night with that purple Wicked Lippie!
